The bed lights were great so both my wife and I could each read in bed. The food service was good, and the desk clerk was very helpful when I was unable to get my wife's IPAD on line.
The TV didn't work, but the desk clerk at night came up and got it working, but the next morning it wouldn't work again. We didn't have time to wait for someone to come to the room and correct the problem. The food service area was messy, although the food was good and the servings were adequate for our needs.
easy to get to, nice breakfast
could have been cleaner
location - close to restaurants, and Academy. Friendly staff.
Charge for a pet, ice machine not on every floor.
Easy check in and the breakfast was a plus. Make your own waffles, sausage, eggs etc.... The room had plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. Great location to all of the attractions. Even though it is near the interstate it was quite.
The hot tub and the pillows!
I could not figure out how to make the jets work in the hot tub!
Bed, bathroom, desk, window view, staff maid with the cleaning; included refrigerator and microwave.
Needs satellite tv channels (cable tv channels were fuzzy with an overall grainy picture look) closet door was somewhat broken (unlatched) and kept swinging open practically blocking the front door to the Room.
To start - the staff is fantastic! Not only did they let us check in early, they made sure the best room was ready for us. They could have put us in a room that matched our booking, but instead they found us one on the top floor with a fantastic view of the mountains - especially Pike's Peak. They were so helpful and friendly. Conversations with them didn't feel like a waste of our vacation time - it was like talking to a friend. The breakfast was pretty decent for a basic free breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, juice, fruit, cereal, Belgian waffles, yogurt, muffins, toast, bagels - the works. Something to suit everyone - and best of all fresh coffee all day. There is a lovely trail around back - following the creek. This is a good place to take a quiet walk and partake in any 420 activities or just take in the beautiful scenery - or both! I read complaints in the reviews about outside noise. Something to note - the rushing sounds you are hearing are not coming from the highway. That sound is something much more beautiful - the rushing water of the creek behind the building. If you are not facing the backside then you may not be aware of this. I personally loved the sound and found it very relaxing for sleeping as well as enjoying my morning coffee at the window. Finally, the rooms were clean(freshly cleaned carpet in our room). Overall I really enjoyed our stay, and will likely pick this hotel again on our next trip to co Springs.
From what I understood out of an overheard conversation, they had a staff member quit two days into our stay. This made the breakfast a little hectic.. One person running the whole thing and the front desk for a couple of hours. However, he did a fantastic job all things considered. Things were just slow coming out to feed all the hungry guests. If you're coming for the pool (I mean... Really there are mountains - who needs the pool!), then you may be disappointed. It is very small and the entire room with the hot tub included has a max capacity of 20 people. The facility is not 420 friendly.. So if you are looking for that by visiting the area you may want to look elsewhere (try Manitou Springs). However, with that said, if you were considerate (not hot boxing your room) then nothing was said to those partaking in recreational marijuana use. Do be careful about the water pressure. For the first time in my life I do not have a complaint about the water pressure being too low - instead it is HIGH pressure. Eventually I got use to this, but it was a little rough the first couple of days. I was a little disappointed that there was no bar on site - but I quickly realized that my leisure activities did not have time for boozing - so no real loss!
When the people above walked it was very loud on the ceiling
The Staff Was Respectful
I Disnt have a bad experience it was grate!
The room was supposed to be a non smoking room however, the room smelled like old smoke. Informed by the desk that the 4th floor had been smoking and changed to nonsmoking by the new owner.
The place was clean and the bed super. Loved the pool, hot tub to relax in after a long drive. Breakfast was great!
A little noisy in the morning. Can hear showers running early.
Clean comfortable room at a good price... included breakfast was good.
Could use some updating in decorating including pool area.
Clean, quiet, nice linens on comfortable beds
Pool was small and had to go to bottom floor for ice
Christina at the front desk was very nice and helped me out with making my stay more enjoyable.
nothing really around hotel within walking distance.
Close to the intersection and not far from some good eateries. Bed so comfortable with two types pillows (soft and firm). Breakfast includes eggs and sausage, juices, waffles, etc. loved the hot-tub and exercise facilities.
